This is a series of work developed form a run of 5 breakdown prints onto fabric.
This is a very exciting technique where the dye in a carrier is painted onto the back of a screen and when a clear print medium is dragged over the screen the dye breaks down in a gradual and unpredictable way, causing very exciting fabric prints.
The daisy in Navy is from the printing process, you can see it varies from work to work.
These prints have then been collaged with other fabrics, papers and stitched into with machine and hand stitching.
At the moment many of these are in an exhibition at the brewhouse in Burton on Trent.
