Here is my latest semi abstract work, I have started working in a series, making 4 or 5 works at the same time and using a printing technique called breakdown printing as a starting point..
This is a very exciting technique where the dye in a carrier is painted onto the back of a screen and when a clear print medium is dragged over the screen the dye breaks down in a gradual and unpredictable way, causing very exciting fabric prints.
The daisy in Navy is from the printing process, you can see it varies from work to work.
These prints have then been collaged with other fabrics, papers and stitched into with machine and hand stitching.
Some of these peices are at a gallery in Ambleside.
***Please note that I shall be away from the studio from 1st - 8th May and will not be able to post orders until 9th May.***
