Top Tips
If you have found that you struggle with certain aspects of free motion embroidery, I have decided to produce a series of short videos on my Jo Hill Textiles Facebook page, which will show you how to overcome various common problems. The first Top Tip is how to draw straight lines with your sewing machine in free motion embroidery mode, I hope you find these videos helpful and keep a look out for future tips. Take a look here.
New Direction
Over the summer I decided to take my work in a new direction, I have been creatively working and experimenting on new ideas, methods of dying and printing and other new techniques which I have thoroughly enjoyed. This has resulted in me producing some new semi abstract pieces of work which I am delighted with. A hint of my new designs can be seen in the banner on my website. Although I still love my wildlife inspired designs, which can be reproduced through my online courses, as a textile artist I wanted to explore a new direction.
