CODE: LANDSCAPE LAMPSHADE Jo Hill
"This Landscape design was inspired by the stunning views of the English countryside that we are lucky enough to have all around us. I love the beautiful colours and organic shapes that the horizon creates and I have interpreted these in my unique style of appliqué and stitch."
Jo created the original, handmade Landscape designs from her studio in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. It was created using free motion embroidery, an exciting technique where she uses the sewing machine to 'draw' the details of the design onto the fabric with the sewing machine.
The top and the bottom of the lampshade is hand painted by Jo in carefully selected muted colours to perfectly complement the stitched landscape. She has used a lovely linen which has a beautiful lustre to it.
This really is a high end piece of textile design and will become an admired focal point for your home.
