Use the unique templates that Jo has designed and create your very own wildlife-inspired textile pieces! These kits are ideal for learning and improving the exciting technique of free motion embroidery. Learn to draw with your sewing machine!
The boxes contain all of the components required to make your finished item, and some include luxury hand-dyed fabric pieces too. You'll need your sewing machine, a darning/embroidery foot and thread, plus the usual accessories such as fabric scissors and an iron.
All of Jo's pieces that she creates are stitched using free-motion embroidery so you'll benefit from her expert guidance when you create your own. Free motion embroidery is such a rewarding and addictive technique!
The kits are suited to a range of abilities. The introductory kits are for those who'd like to learn free-motion embroidery, and there is also a more advanced range designed for the sewist who would like to improve and refine their free-motion sewing skills. All kits (with the exception of some beginners' kits) are a limited edition range of just 50.
Jo has several years of experience in teaching a wide range of sewing and home furnishing techniques to all abilities, and also runs a varied programme of workshops from her garden studio alongside her creative practice.
Free motion embroidery is also known as free machine embroidery, free hand sewing and thread painting.
Whether you are new to the exciting art of free-motion embroidery, or have already had a go at this technique, these kits are the perfect way to improve your skills. And you'll make something lovely at the same time!
