Creative Collaged backgrounds 12th June

On this course, you will spend a day in Marksbury village hall BA2 9HP (a small village near Bath) creating your own collaged textile background.

This workshop is perfect if you are looking to learn how to create interesting backgrounds to stitch into at home.

We will spend the morning making decorative papers and fabrics, the afternoon we will collage them together to create abstract backgrounds. These backgrounds can them be stitched into using a wide variety of techniques (I use free motion embroidery) at home on any topic you chose. 

I have a library of design ideas, as well as lots of samples.

What to bring - please read!

Full list of materials to follow four weeks before the workshop.

Also bring a packed lunch, I will supply snacks and drinks for the day.

I will supply some fabrics including silk and layout paper but please bring your own thin fabrics and papers.

I will also supply the paste, there will be an extensive list of what to bring nearer the time, most of it you will have in your stash or can get hold of easily.

All workshops take place in Marksbury  BA2 9HP a small village near Bath, 

The workshop will run from 10.00am until 3.45pm, we then have until 4 to pack away.

Places on this workshop are limited to 10 so that I am able to spend as much time with each workshop participant as possible. 

If you have to cancel due to COVID, or any other valid reason, I will give you a 50% discount when you book onto another course in the future.

Please do not attend a workshop if you are showing any COVID symptoms.

I will cancel a workshop if I am feeling unwell.

I will also have to cancel the workshop 2 weeks prior to the day if I have less than 5 people attending.
