Emerging Growth

CODE: ORIGINAL EMBROIDERY

This embroidery was made for an exhibition with the group 'Bath Textile artists' for an exhibition in The Pound Corsham.

I placed two large works in the exhibition, the other one sold but this one is still looking for a home.

For a few years now I have noticed how the farmed land changes over the seasons with echos of last years crops or farm machinery marks on the land and the new years emerging growth in the spring. I capture this using natural fabrics: cotton, silks linens and wools. Much of which is recycled and reclaimed. I love texture, natural sheen on the cloth and a soft frayed ripped edge. I hand dyed, print or paint many fabrics and papers prior to assembling to achieve the required textures, colour and design.

The embroidery measures 28cm x 28cm

The mount measures 40cm x 40cm

The framed work measures 46cm x 46cm, it is a deep white painted wooden frame, glazed.

You can buy it mounted or with the frame, select your choice below.

If I am shipping abroad the postage may need tweaking, my website doesn't always calculate it correctly.
