Roman Blinds
I can make up plain or trimmed roman blinds, these can be backed in normal lining or blackout, popular in bedrooms. Trimmings can be bands of fabric, braids or fringing, beads or shaped edges. I can measure and advise if you are unsure of sizing or styles. Blinds can either fit into the recess of the window or go on the outside above the window.
I also make blinds that combine my hobby of machine embroidery and other decorative textile techniques to create individual designer or art blinds. This enables me to create unique pictures or patterns that can be inspired by a feature in your room or from anything else of interest. I can also embelish an existing fabic with free machine embroidery, applique and hand embroidery and beads.

This is a one-off original design, made using free machine embroidery, appliqued fabrics with hand sewn beads and tiny insects and butterfly to add detailing.

Recently made this roman blind with an arched top to fit snugly into the recess of these arched windows in a barn conversion in Fradswell Staffs.
This blind was inspired by some 18th century hand printed french wall paper, it has been printed, appliqued, couched, machine embroidered and hand sewn with buttons and beads, it took forever but I love it.
